Glad I’m an engineer
I knew this assembly was going to be fun when I counted out the 154 fasteners of various types and sizes. An then when I saw that the “multi-language” instructions were just pictures – no words, I definetly had some concerns. But I have put together lots of furniture over the years. I am an engineer with 40 years experience, a parent (2 children) and grandparent (3 grandchildren). So in a little under 2 hours, I had the chest of drawers successfully assembled. While the wood is particle board, the laminate is a nice color and the finished product is good. The major reason I rated this a 3 is the fastener system used was of fairly low quality – compared to, for example, the baby changing table I also just bought and assembled: Badger Basket Cherry Sleigh Style Baby Changing Table
To help others who tackle this item, here are some thoughts:
1) the A & B fasteners should be connected fairly tightly to insure they do not come loose. But not too tight or the wood might split.
2) Side panels 1 and 5 did not have their numbers on the part. Instead “Side panel Left” (part #1) had numbers 2 and 3 on it. The 2 and 3 turn out to be the numbers of parts that connect to this left side panel. Similarly for “Side panel right” (part #5) have numbers 6 and 7 on it.
3) Step 15 incorrectly references piece 6. It should be part 9 – as that is the part with the groove for the rear panel.
4) Be carefully attaching the drawer knobs. The wood is not too strong so it is easy to overtighten. I ended up using a dab of wood glue to help hold the knobs firmly in place.

Stork Craft Aspen Three Drawer Chest in Cognac
Quick delivery. Happy with the product. Nice color and it matches my crib (in cognac) perfectly! The only thing about this chest is that it had some dents on the drawers, and one of them was really bad! But since the dent on the bottom drawer I’m not going to return it. Not sure if this is the way they have these in stock or if the product gets damaged during delivery. Overall I’m happy, and would recommend this product and seller to others.
Beautiful Dresser, hard to assemble!
We purchased this dresser for our baby’s room. It holds a good amount of clothes and things for a baby dresser. It’s the perfect height for me to use as a changing table, the changing pad doesn’t fit perfect. I knew upon buying it that it would not fit most changing pads so that was fine with us. My husband said this item was very difficult to assemble! It took at least 3 hours to put together and we’re pretty sure the directions are wrong! Overall, beautiful, sturdy piece for the price. I’m looking forward to using in it a couple weeks when the baby gets here.
Beautiful Piece of Furniture
I purchased this as part of my new grandbaby’s nursery set, I also purchased the matching changing table/dresser and the Rochester crib (which matches perfectly). The nursery is beautiful and all this furniture is high quality and will last from baby to teen! Highly recommended!
Exactly what I would expect from Stork Craft
We purchased this to use as a dresser/changing table because we have a very small nursery. The changing table pad is slightly too big but it still works. The quality of craftsmanship is what you would expect from Stork Craft. Cheap wood & you have to be really careful when assembling this to not damage the wood.
