Wonderful Pattern for a Girls Car Seat
I pre-ordered this Graco Snugride car seat in the “Ally” pattern 2 months ago, before it was released. I fell in love with the modern look of the gray/pink contrasting dot design. Originally, it was to be released at the end of January 2010 but that date was pushed back to the end of February. This caused me to have to pay more for faster shipping so that it would be here in time for my babies arrival. Since I paid extra for shipping I was dissappointed when it arrived with a huge gouge in the box which was taped over, I assume by Fed-Ex, the shipper. Luckily the seat and base within the box were not damaged. I don’t blame Amazon for these problems but if this seat had been available to purchase in a store near me, I would have preferred to purchase it in person and avoid the problems I encountered with shipping.
The seat itself looks just like it was pictured. The only thing I did not realize, is that the shoulder straps adjust in the back of the seat as opposed to the front adjust I was expecting. After experimenting with strapping in a doll I borrowed from my daughter, I don’t anticipate having any huge problems with this design feature. In fact, I seemed to be able to adjust the straps tighter and with greater precision than I remember being able to with my first child’s front adjusting infant seat. I was also able to move the straps from one shoulder height to the next up with greater ease than with the front adjusting model. That said, I may change my mind once a crying baby is occupying the seat.
Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and the cute pattern of this seat makes the shipping problems I experienced and any future difficulties I may have with the back adjusting shoulder straps seem worth it.

Love this car seat! Pretty colors, safe, easy to install. Worked great with Bob Infant Car Seat adapter and Bundle Me products.

Good seat for the money
If you’re looking for a car seat with a good quality/price ratio, this is it.
This is not the fanciest seat out there, but it is certainly one of the cheapest.
It is also just as safe as other seats. It is easy to use, and pretty light.
It is equiped with a gauge on the side that helps you position the seat at a safe angle for your baby.
There is one con though: This seat does not have a lot of padding, and the head support is too big/wide and won’t hold a baby’s head.
If you buy this seat I suggest you buy ‘Snuzzler’ from Kiddopotamus ($20). It is a crash tested, complete body & head support that will keep your baby snuggled up.
good product for a fair price
I bought this carseat for my 1st born son, but sadly he is just about to outgrow it (he’s 7 months and already exceeds the length requirement, but he’s also 95 percentile for height!), so I am now shopping for the next size up.
I initially chose it because it fits into the Bob stroller & the price was right, and b/c I liked the pattern/colors and fabric (although I originally almost didn’t buy it b/c one reviewer stated that they thought the fabric was like burlap?! which is totally not truel!). It’s been pretty easy to carry around w/ him in it (a friend talked me out f buying the 32lb version b/c it becomes back breaking to schlep around by the time the baby is 22lbs, so just imagine a 32lb kid in that seat? yikes!).
Anyway, I’d definitely recommend this product to a friend…in fact I’m passing it onto a friend b/c it’s still got 4 yrs to expiry!
